The Shippensburg University women's soccer team tied a school record with its fourth consecutive shutout on Saturday, as freshman goalkeeper
Kayla Kennedy set a new SU single-season record for goals against average (0.54), in a 2-0 victory on the road against PSAC opponent Seton Hill.
The Raiders (7-7-3, 6-7-3 PSAC) got on the board in the 42nd minute when senior
Brooke Clippinger scored on a strike off her own rebound.
Freshman
Bailey Bzdak put SU ahead 2-0 with a goal in the 61st minute.
The Raiders out-shot Seton Hill (5-11-2, 5-9-2) by a 24-7 margin and held a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Kennedy made four stops while recording her eighth clean sheet of the season. The eight shutouts are the fourth most by a goalkeeper in single-season school history.
SU allowed 14 goals this season, setting a new school record for the fewest goals allowed in a single season. The previous record was 17 set in 1997.
