MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Shippensburg University football team totaled 662 yards on offense Saturday to roll past PSAC East opponent Millersville, 60-16, on a frigid and windy night from Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.
Â
Shippensburg (5-4, 4-4 PSAC) had seven different players scored touchdowns in the contest and had touchdowns on five consecutive possessions during the first half. SU scored touchdowns on nine of its 14 drives in the game.
Â
Senior
Trevor Harman claimed sole possession of the PSAC all-time receiving touchdowns record. He caught seven passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns, bringing his career total to 60. It is his 20th career game with 100 or more receiving yards and his 30th career game with a receiving touchdown. Â

Senior
Blair Brooks matched his single-game career high with 171 yards on 19 carries, scoring twice. He now has 2,507 career rushing yards, moving past Bill Pettyjohn '92 and Mike Frenette '12 to settle into second place on SU's career rushing list.
Â
Brooks also reached 1,076 rushing yards for the season, making him just the fifth different running back in school history to surpass 1,000 rushing yards in a season and the first since current Green Bay Packer John Kuhn in 2004.
Â
SU ran the ball for 378 yards, marking the third straight game that the team has rushed for more than 300 yards. Of SU's 51 rushes on the day, only four went for negative yards. The Red Raiders averaged 7.4 yards per rush.
Â
Shippensburg has rushed for at least 100 yards in its first nine games of a season for the first time since 2004. Its 2,306 rushing yards through nine games are the fourth-most in SU single-season history and just 326 rushing yards shy of SU's school record set in 2003.
Â
Junior quarterback
Chris Lawshe completed 17-of-27 passes for 250 yards and tied his career high with four touchdown passes. He also ran for 64 yards and a score. Lawshe's 20 touchdowns this season are tied with Tim Ebersole's 1981 season for the eighth-most in a single season in school history.
Â
Defensively, SU had a season-high 12 tackles for loss and matched a season high five sacks. Senior linebacker
James Brennan notched a career-high three sacks, including two in the first three plays of the game. Brennan nearly matched his career sacks total in one game, as he entered Saturday with 3.5 sacks through 44 games played.
Â
Junior linebacker
Cortlin Dell returned from injury and was a menace, totaling eight tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Sophomore nose guard
Joe Dolan tied Dell with a career-high eight tackles, while redshirt freshman
Will Hudson recorded a career-high seven tackles.
Â
Senior
Sean Sadosky had his first career interception, as he dove to pick off a pass that was tipped into the air by Dolan. Both teams committed two turnovers in the game, ending SU's streak of three straight games without a turnover.
Â
SU won its 11th straight game over Millersville dating back to 2000. The Red Raiders have now won their last three games at the Biemesderfer by a combined 148-26 score.
Â
The teams combined for 11 touchdowns in the game but neither team kicked an extra point. SU was 0-for-3 on kick attempts (two blocked) and went 3-for-6 on two-point conversions, while the Marauders went 2-for-2 on two-point conversions.
Â
Shippensburg has its home finale at noon Saturday when it host Kutztown on Senior Day at SU Student Association Field at Seth Grove Stadium. The Red Raiders will honor 11 men before the game against the Golden Bears.
