SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The Shippensburg University women's and men's basketball teams travel north to Lock Haven on Wednesday night for a PSAC Eastern Division doubleheader against the Bald Eagles from Thomas Fieldhouse. The women's game will tip at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at approximately 8 p.m.
The contests are the second in the season series between the two schools. The Raiders hosted the Bald Eagles on Nov. 20 in the PSAC East opener, with the SU women earning an 87-75 victory before the SU men dropped a 78-61 decision.
WOMEN
•   Doomed by a poor second half compounded by a dominant Millersville run, Shippensburg let an early second-half seven-point lead slip away to the Marauders in a 72-61 Saturday afternoon loss in a crucial battle of two of the top four teams in the PSAC East.
•   The Raiders were led by freshman
Lauren Gold, who scored 18 points on 3-of-5 shooting from three-point range. Freshman
Logan Snyder made a career-high three shots from downtown (on four attempts) and added 15 points off the bench while freshman
Morgan Griffith scored seven points and gathered a game-high 12 rebounds.
•    SU is second in the PSAC this season in both scoring (79.4 points per game) and rebounding (42.2 rebounds per game).
•   Shippensburg leads the PSAC in all three categories at the charity stripe with 429 made free throws, 559 free-throw attempts and a 76.7 percent efficiency.
•   The Raiders have four of the PSAC's Top-10 free-throw shooters as Gold (90.4 percent) leads the conference, senior
Sarah Strybuc ranks fourth (81.4), sophomore
Stephanie Knauer is eighth (78.9) and Snyder is 10th (77.6).
MEN
•   A pair of 20-point scoring performances by sophomore
Joe Lococo and freshman
Abe Massaley fell short for Shippensburg in PSAC Eastern Division play on Saturday afternoon in an 88-71 loss at Millersville. The Raiders were unable to maintain a brief first-half lead before intermission as the Marauders won the game's rebounding battle by a 41-31 margin and capitalized on 32 bench points.
•   Lococo has taken on a greater scoring load this season as he leads the team and ranks fourth in the PSAC with 19.8 points per game.
•   Handling the point is Massaley, who is second on the team with 13.2 points per game. He leads the team and ranks 12th in the PSAC with 3.1 assists per game.
•   Redshirt-freshman
Marcus Williams ranks third in the PSAC with 8.2 rebounds per game and leads the team with 30 blocks — the most for a Raider in a single season since 2008-09. His 1.8 blocks per game rank sixth in the PSAC.
