Junior wide receiver Trevor Harman earned a First Team selection to the Don Hansen Division II All-America Team on Wednesday morning while senior defensive end Jake Metz was named a Second Team selection and senior quarterback Zach Zulli nabbed honorable mention honors.

The honor marks the first All-America First Team selection of Harman's career after earning a Don Hansen honorable mention pick last season. The selection is his fifth to an All-America team in his career and the third this season.

Metz was named the Don Hansen Super Region One Defensive Player of the Year and garnered All-America honors for the fourth time this season and seventh time in his career.

The defending Don Hansen Offensive Player of the Year, Zulli earned his first All-America honors of the season and the fifth of his career.

The Don Hansen Division II All-America Team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988.

The Don Hansen Football Committee selected All-Super Region teams in December and early January, with the first-team and second-team All-Super Region players advancing to the national ballot.

A total of 168 players earned some form of Don Hansen All-America honors. Players from 78 of the 166 football-playing schools in Division II earned Don Hansen All-America accolades. National champion NW Missouri State had seven honorees, including four first-team players.
