Despite an all-around effort from senior
Lindsey Kennedy on Saturday afternoon, the Shippensburg University women's lacrosse team was unable to overcome No. 11 Florida Southern in an 18-10 road loss to wrap up SU's two-game Florida spring break trip and 2013 non-conference slate.
After being outscored 9-2 in the first half, the Raiders (2-4) played nearly even with the Moccasins (8-1) in the second half, fighting to a one-goal difference (9-8) in the final 30 minutes.
Kennedy tallied her third hat trick of the season to go along with three assists for a team season-high six points. The senior contributed all over the stat sheet while recording team highs with seven draw controls and six groundballs. She also caused an SU-high two turnovers.

Garrie Grenfell recorded her first career hat trick on four shots off the bench while also adding an assist and three groundballs.
Sophomore
Sheila Johnson scored the first goal of the game that gave SU an early 1-0 lead for nearly the first seven minutes. She finished the day with two goals and an assist.

Courtney Kennedy contributed a goal and an assist while junior
Kayla Dalzell also scored.

Liz French recorded four groundballs to go along with three draw controls and freshman goalkeeper
Ally Frymoyer tied her career high with 11 saves.
The Raiders open up PSAC play on Wednesday with a 4 p.m. home match vs. Lock Haven from Robb Sports Complex.
