SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University tennis team played its first home match of the spring season on Friday afternoon at the Robb Sports Complex courts but dropped a 9-0 decision to the Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College.

Senior Julia Saintz and freshman Brittnee Buckley teamed up for a point at No. 1 doubles and senior Cassie Sidone recorded a point in singles play.

Saturday's scheduled match with Georgian Court has already been postponed as the result of the likelihood for inclement weather for the weekend. No makeup date has been announced.
