The Shippensburg University softball team opened its 2013 season by winning all three of its games on Sunday from the Catawba College Invitational in Salisbury, N.C., earning a 1-0 victory over Massachusetts-Lowell in the opener, a 16-1 five-inning win over Davis & Elkins and a 4-3 walk-off victory over Winston-Salem State in the nightcap.

Emily Estep threw a complete game victory in the opener as sophomore
Maddie Justice plated the game's lone run with an RBI single. Sophomore
Liz Parkins earned the win in the second game, going the distance in the shortened contest.

Makenzie Lynn also threw a complete game in the final game of the day and earned the win. With the Raiders down 3-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh, junior
Rachel Shumway hit a walk-off, two-run home run to lift Shippensburg.
The Raiders will finish up play tomorrow morning with an 11 a.m. matchup against North Georgia.
