SHIPPENSBURG Pa. -- The Shippensburg University basketball teams travel to West Chester on Wednesday evening for a pair of PSAC East road games against the Golden Rams from Hollinger Field House. The women will tip at 6 p.m. while the men will tip afterward at approximately 8 p.m.

WOMEN

•    Both teams have clinched conference playoff spots as SU sits alone in third in the PSAC East and WCU is alone in fifth.

•    The Raiders snapped a five-game losing streak to WCU with a 20-point win earlier this season at home, 75-55 (Jan. 23).

•    Freshman Stephanie Knauer led all players with 22 points and 14 rebounds on Saturday afternoon as Shippensburg defeated PSAC East foe East Stroudsburg, 67-47, during the annual “Play 4 Kay” game and Alumni Day from Heiges Field House. The Raiders led by as many as 26 points during the second half and out-rebounded the Warriors 57-40.

•    Also on Saturday afternoon, freshman Brittany Sicinski tied her season-high with 21 points while Alexandra Lennon scored 12 points, but host West Chester could not catch visiting Bloomsburg down the stretch, eventually falling, 64-54.

MEN

•    SU is tied for fifth in the PSAC East and can clinch a playoff spot with a victory OR with losses on Wednesday night by both Kutztown and Mansfield. West Chester sits second in the PSAC East and still has a chance to claim the top spot entering the playoffs.

•    The Raiders lost at home to West Chester, 74-57, earlier this season on Jan. 23.

•    Behind a 31-point, nine-assist effort from sophomore Reggie Charles and three other Raiders scoring in double figures, Shippensburg took down PSAC East-leading and No. 9-ranked East Stroudsburg on Saturday afternoon during the annual “Play 4 Kay” game and Alumni Day from Heiges Field House. The Raiders snapped ESU's school record-tying 14-game winning streak and shot a season-best 87 percent from the free-throw line on 27-of-31 shooting.

•    Also on Saturday night, senior Carl Johnson scored 18 points to lead four players in double figures as host West Chester topped visiting Bloomsburg, 96-75, from Hollinger Field House.
