SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- The Shippensburg University women's and men's basketball teams look to bounce back in their return home on Saturday afternoon as they host PSAC newcomer Seton Hill in a conference crossover doubleheader from Heiges Field House.

The women's game is at 1 p.m. while the men will tip afterward at approximately 3 p.m. Neither game will count toward the PSAC standings.

Saturday's game will be the final of the calendar year for the women, who resume play with a home crossover weekend on Jan. 3-4 with 1 p.m. games against California (Pa.) on Friday and Slippery Rock on Saturday. The men will next play on New Year's Eve day at Wilmington (Del.) at 1 p.m.

WOMEN

• The Raiders enter the game second in the PSAC East standings (7-2 overal, 3-0 PSAC East) and as the fifth-highest scoring team in the conference, averaging 78.7 points per game. SU has scored 90 or more points in a third of its games this season, including in two of the past three contests.

• SU received eight votes in this week's USA Today Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released on Tuesday.

• Shippensburg saw its six-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night with a 70-49 road setback at PSAC West rival IUP. The Raiders had three players reach double figures but it was not enough to keep up the balanced scoring of the Crimson Hawks, who got out to a quick 11-3 advantage and never looked back while leading for the entirety of the contest.

• Despite the loss, senior Sarah Strybuc managed to reach the 1,000-point milestone with 12 points on the night to put her at 1,002 on her career. She surpassed the mark with a three-pointer with five minutes remaining. She will be honored before this Saturday's tip vs. Seton Hill.

• Also on Wednesday night, Seton Hill lost a PSAC crossover home tilt to Millersville, 71-54, to drop it to 6-4 overall (1-3 PSAC West). The Griffins's lone divisional victory, however, came at the hands of then-No. 25 IUP, in a 63-62 home upset two weeks ago.

MEN

• The Raiders entered the week leading all PSAC East teams in field goal percentage defense, limiting opponents to a 40.7 percent clip from the field. SU currently ranks third in the entire conference in three-point percentage defense, holding opposing teams to just 27.3 percent (39-of-143) from downtown.

• In head coach Chris Fite's Wednesday night return to IUP -- where he spent the previous seven seasons as the team's primary assistant coach -- the Raiders dropped a 77-46 decision to the No. 7-ranked Crimson Hawks.

• Also on Wednesday night, Seton Hill (7-3, 2-2 PSAC West) dispatched Millersville, 83-74, in a home crossover matchup.
