The Shippensburg University men's basketball team was unable to hold onto a first-half lead in a PSAC crossover battle on Tuesday night at Pittsburgh-Johnstown before eventually dropping a 69-53 decision to the host Mountain Cats from Sports Center.

The Raiders (1-6) led for the majority of the first half and held a 26-20 lead with under seven minutes left. At that point, however, the Mountain Cats (6-3) went on a 14-0 run and entered the break up 34-28.

Hardy and freshman Abe Massaley led SU with 12 points apiece as Hardy sank a career-high four three-pointers on nine attempts. Hardy also added a career-high seven rebounds while Massaley matched his career high with six assists.

Sophomore Joe Lococo added nine points and freshman Oliver Stroh contributed eight on 3-of-6 shooting.

The Raiders will wrap up their midweek crossover road trip on Wednesday night with a 7:30 p.m. matchup at No. 7 IUP.
