SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Junior Derrick Roy scored on a penalty kick with under a half-minute left before intermission on Saturday afternoon but the Shippensburg University men's soccer team gave up a game-tying goal to visiting Slippery Rock in the 73rd minute in a 1-1 tie from David See Field in the regular-season finale for both teams.

The Raiders (9-6-2, 6-4-1 PSAC) clinched the No. 5 seed in the PSAC Tournament and will play on the road on Tuesday in the conference quarterfinals in a rematch with The Rock (12-3-2, 7-3-1) at 3 p.m.

Shippensburg drew a foul in the box with 28 seconds left in the first half and Roy buried the penalty kick into the lower left of the net for a 1-0 lead.

SU held a dominant 21-3 advantage in corner kicks and a 29-19 lead in shots but allowed SRU to net the equalizer with just over 17 minutes remaining that forced the first conference tie for the Raiders this season.
