The Shippensburg University women's soccer team could not penetrate the impressive West Chester defense in a Tuesday afternoon PSAC battle from the Golden Rams' South Campus Field, falling in a 2-0 road shutout.

The Raiders (6-4, 5-4 PSAC) managed seven shots against the Golden Rams (8-3, 7-3), who shut out their opponent for the fifth consecutive game and have not allowed a goal in 520 minutes.

Senior goalkeeper Shelbie Rackley made a season-high eight saves in net. Ashley Saylor scored both of West Chester's goals – the first in the 25th minute and the second in the 88th minute to put the game away.

Shippensburg had several opportunities, including a pair of near-equalizers in the second half. Junior Kate Zech had a chance that WCU goalkeeper Alex Srolis dove and smothered, and junior Brooke Clippinger sent a shot that went over the crossbar in the 85th minute.

SU returns home this weekend with a 4 p.m. Saturday contest against East Stroudsburg.
