Sarah Strybuc led all scorers with 22 points and freshman
Stephanie Knauer posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds on Saturday afternoon as the Shippensburg University women's basketball team outlasted Mansfield, 87-63, in PSAC East action from Heiges Field House.
Strybuc came out hot, scoring 11 quick points just over five minutes into the game, and the Raiders (10-6, 6-5 PSAC) used a 12-0 run to open up a 19-4 lead before the midway point of the first half.
A Mansfield (4-11, 2-9) three-pointer with 1:20 before intermission finished the first-half scoring and started an 11-0 Mountaineers run that extended into the second half and cut the SU lead to 36-32.
The Raiders then used a 9-0 run to retake control of the game with a 45-32 lead five minutes into the second half before eventually extending their lead up past 20 points with balanced scoring throughout the rotation.
Strybuc finished the game 7-of-13 from the floor and 5-of-7 from three-point range while adding eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Knauer shot 5-of-6 from the field to finish with her eighth double-double of the season.

Shawna Wert added 12 points while senior
Dana Wert added nine points and a game-high seven assists. Freshman
Caitlyn Deeter tied her career high with 10 points off the bench while senior
Raediah Lyles tied her season-high with nine points and four rebounds.
SU return to the court on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. matchup against West Chester from Heiges Field House.
