The Shippensburg University basketball teams resume PSAC Eastern Division play on Wednesday night when they hit the road to face Bloomsburg inside Nelson Field House. The women's tip is set for 5:30 p.m. with the men to follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.
WOMEN:
• Last time out, SU began its final PSAC crossover of the season at Cal with a 15-5 run and never looked back, building a 21-point halftime lead and a 36-point advantage in the second half en route to a dominant 82-50 victory over the Vulcans inside the Convocation Center. It was SU's largest victory over Cal since the 1999 PSAC Quarterfinals (85-48).
• Bloomsburg won all three of last year's meetings over the Raiders, including an eight-point victory in the PSAC Quarterfinals. Prior to last season, Shippensburg had won five straight at Nelson Field House dating back to 2002.
MEN:
• Last time out, SU nearly completed a comeback attempt in its final PSAC crossover game of the season but fell 79-76 at Cal. SU grabbed the ball off a missed free throw with five seconds remaining but was unable to attempt a tie-breaking shot.
• Bloomsburg has won the last three meetings between the two teams, with SU's last win coming at Nelson Field House on Jan. 19, 2011 (74-72). In two of the last four years, SU won games at Bloomsburg by two points (60-58 in '09, 74-72 in '11).
