The Shippensburg University men's basketball team began its final weekend of PSAC crossover competition with a 72-48 road loss to Western Division leader and No. 21-ranked Indiana (Pa.) on Friday night from IUP's Kovalchick Complex.

Joe Lococo shot 8-of-9 from the free-throw line and led the Raiders (2-10, 0-8 PSAC) with 18 points while sophomore
Sam Pygatt added 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting – the fourth time in the last five games that he's scored in double figures.
Freshman
David Craig recorded career highs of eight points (on 4-of-7 shooting) and six rebounds in 26 minutes of action.
Down 18-2 five minutes into the game, the Raiders made three-pointers on three subsequent possessions – the first from Pygatt and the latter two from Lococo – to kick-start an 11-0 run spanning six-and-a-half minutes that cut the Crimson Hawk (10-2, 6-2) lead to five, 18-13, with eight minutes left before halftime.
IUP answered back with an 11-0 run of its own, however, and eventually entered intermission up 39-21. The Crimson Hawks began to pull away midway through the second half, growing their lead to as many as 27 points with nine minutes remaining.
The Raiders wrap up PSAC West play tomorrow when they travel to California (Pa.) for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
