SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- The Shippensburg University women's soccer team and visiting West Virginia Wesleyan played 110 minutes of even play on Sunday afternoon as the two squads failed to connect on their rare scoring opportunities and ended with a scoreless draw.
The Raiders (1-0-1) and the Bobcats (0-1-1) were even in shots (15 each) and fouls (11 each). Junior goalkeeper
Shelbie Rackley made five saves in net while the SU offense managed just three shots on goal and five corner kicks.

Carolyn Smith led Shippensburg with four shots. Shippensburg took five shots in the two overtime periods to West Virginia Wesleyan's four.
Under half a minute into the second overtime period, the Raiders had their best scoring opportunity with a Vellucci shot directly on goal that was stopped by a Bobcats defender.
SU opens up PSAC play on Wednesday with a 3 p.m. match at Kutztown.
