Women’s Soccer Falls at Home to No. 7 West Chester, 5-0

Raiders manage just four shots against the undefeated Golden Rams

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's soccer team was unable to keep up with undefeated and No. 7-ranked West Chester on Wednesday night, falling 5-0 from David See Field.

The Raiders (3-3-2, 1-3-1 PSAC) managed just four shots against the Golden Rams (7-0, 4-0 PSAC), who used their precision passing to jump out to a 2-0 lead by the 24th minute before connecting on three second-half goals.

Junior goalkeeper Shelbie Rackley started and made five saves in net, while junior Samantha Wood made her first appearance of the season and made five saves in the final 34 minutes.

Junior Rachel Hess led SU with two shots while senior Molly Sanders and junior Ashley Vellucci each took one.

The Raiders return to action on Saturday with a 5 p.m. match at Millersville.
