Senior Cassie Sidone and Brittnee Buckley represented the Shippensburg University tennis team on Saturday at the 2012 PSAC Individual Championships held at Bloomsburg University, with each player competing in singles in addition to forming a doubles pairing.

In doubles, Sidone and Buckley played well but dropped a hard-fought 8-5 match to Kasey Love and Janelle Krantz of Slippery Rock. The Rock duo upset the No. 4-seeded IUP doubles team, 8-0,  and is currently in the semifinals.

Buckley was also solid in singles but fell to Edinboro's RyAnne Baldwin, 6-3, 6-3. Sidone fell to WCU's Brittany Counts, 6-0, 6-2.

Shippensburg returns to action in two weeks when it attempts to resume a suspended match with Hagerstown Community College.
