SALISBURY, N.C. – The Shippensburg University softball team ended up on the wrong end of a pitcher's duel on a wet Friday afternoon at the Catawba Invitational, falling 1-0 to Wayne State – a perennially strong program from the GLIAC. SU's second game of the day against UMass-Lowell was rained out.

Saturday's scheduled games from Salisbury Community Park include a 10 a.m. contest with the host Indians and a 2 p.m. clash with Glenville State.
