SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The Shippensburg University wrestling team is set to host Millersville University at 7 p.m. Wednesday in its only home match this semester inside Heiges Field House. Admission to all home wrestling events is free for the 2012-2013 season.

The Raiders enter Wednesday's dual meet with a record of 1-2 after falling to two Division I opponents last week — Rider (2-0) and Lock Haven (1-1).

SU opened its season with an impressive win over the Waynesburg Yellowjackets, a Division III foe, on November 14. The Raiders won eight of 10 bouts while recording three pins to post a dominant 34-7 tally in the victory.

Wednesday's dual meet will be the first meeting between the Raiders and Marauders with Millersville (0-0) being a Division II wrestling program.

The meeting with the Raiders is also Millersville's first dual meet of the season with their only other action coming at the East Stroudsburg Open on November 17. Other than open competition, Wednesday's bout with the Raiders is slated to be Millersville's only dual meet of the semester as their next dual meet is scheduled for January 5 against the University of Pitt-Johnstown.

Wednesday's dual meet will be the first of five against Division II PSAC opponents for the Raiders this season. Of the six PSAC Division II wrestling schools, the team with the best head-to-head regular season record will be crowned the Division II PSAC team champion.
