SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- The undefeated and No. 13-ranked Shippensburg University football team seeks its 12th consecutive victory on Saturday afternoon when it travels to PSAC East rival West Chester for a 2 p.m. showdown from John A. Farrell Stadium. SU has not won 12 consecutive games since the 1981 team began its season 12-0.

TRAVEL ADVISORY: A large crowd is expected and fans traveling to the game are encouraged to arrive early and expect delays. Parking in surrounding lots will open at 12 p.m. while ticket booths will also open at 12 p.m. Fans are also encouraged to purchase their tickets ahead of time by calling the WCU Ticket Office at (610) 436-2266. Tickets purchased over the phone will be left at the Will Call Window. This should help alleviate long lines at the ticket windows on the day of the game.

Parking in Matlack Street Garage and Sharpless Street Garage on North Campus will be free. Free campus shuttles to Farrell Stadium will be provided. Fans are encouraged to take advantage of these exterior parking options to avoid congestion and traffic jams around South Campus. Directions and more are available at wcupagoldenrams.com.

GAME PREVIEW: The Red Raiders (7-0, 4-0 PSAC East) moved up four spots to No. 13 in the latest edition of the AFCA Division II Coaches' Poll. SU sits one spot ahead of No. 14 California (Pa.) and is again joined in the rankings by fellow PSAC schools Bloomsburg (No. 4) and IUP (No. 20).

Shippensburg now owns the longest active winning streak in Division II (11 consecutive games, dating back to last season). During their win streak, the Red Raiders are averaging just over 50 points a game and beating their opponents by an average margin of 32 points per game.

The Red Raiders enter the game with the nation's No. 1 total offense and passing offense. SU is averaging 578.3 yards per game on offense, which includes an average of 423.14 passing yards per game. Shippensburg has also posted 53.5 points per game, which ranks second in the nation behind Henderson State (56.8 ppg).

SU's defense dropped a few notches after facing Kutztown's aerial offense last week but still ranks 21st in Division II and second in the PSAC in allowing just 305.6 yards per game. The Red Raiders are also tied for 11th in the country in turnover margin (+8) and rank 13th in sacks (3.29 per game, 23.0 total).

Individually, junior quarterback Zach Zulli ranks second in Division II for total offense (403.71 ypg), passing yards (389.0) and pass efficiency (189.36).

West Chester (5-2, 3-1) was picked to finish fourth in the PSAC Eastern Division Football Coaches Preseason Poll. The Golden Rams went 5-6 last season with a 4-3 PSAC East mark. WCU briefly appeared in the national rankings two weeks ago after its 37-34 upset win at then-undefeated California (Pa.), when it slotted at No. 24 in the D2Football.com's media poll.

The Golden Rams are led by junior running back Rondell White (881 yards, seven touchdowns) and senior quarterback Mike Mattei (20 touchdowns, six interceptions) and defensively by reigning PSAC East Defensive Player of the Week Ronell Williams, a sophomore linebacker who leads the team in tackles (78), tackles for loss (5.5) and interceptions (three).

On Saturday, the Shippensburg offense, junior quarterback Zach Zulli and sophomore wide receiver Trevor Harman each set school and PSAC single-game records as the Red Raiders spoiled Kutztown's Homecoming with a 73-35 road victory. Zulli tied the PSAC single-game record with nine touchdown passes while Harman tied PSAC single-game records with 18 catches and five touchdown receptions. Shippensburg tied school single-game records for points and touchdowns (10) in the victory.

Meanwhile on Saturday, White carried the load for West Chester, amassing a career-high 343 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns in a 41-6 home victory over LIU Post.

Series History vs. the Golden Rams

West Chester holds a 21-9-1 lead in the series history. Until earning a victory in 2009, Shippensburg had lost five in a row and 11 out of 15 against the Golden Rams. Shippensburg's victory in 2009 was its first at home over the Golden Rams since the 1999 season.

West Chester has ridden the strength of its offensive attack. The Golden Rams have scored 19 or more points in the last 13 games against Shippensburg. The two teams have met every year since 2002, with West Chester holding a 7-3 margin over that span.
