Box Score

Despite facing 21 shots, the Shippensburg University men's soccer team, its defense and senior goalkeeper Andrew Foran held strong on Tuesday afternoon en route to a 1-0 shutout of Mercyhurst in SU's PSAC road finale.

For the second straight game, Foran made a career-high 10 saves in goal for his first shutout of the season. The Raiders (4-7-2, 2-4-1 PSAC) took 11 shots with none bigger than an unassisted goal from junior Oli Templeton in the 31st minute for the lone goal of the game.

Templeton finished with four shots while senior Sam Talbot recorded three.

The Lakers (8-5-1, 4-2), who entered Tuesday second in the PSAC standings, failed to find the back of the net for just the second time in their last 11 games.

Shippensburg returns to home on Saturday with a 3:30 p.m. contest against Gannon from David See Field.
