A Bloomsburg goal in the 78th minute proved to be the difference on Saturday afternoon as the Shippensburg University men's soccer team dropped a 3-2 road decision to the host Huskies in a league game from Sports Stadium.
Shippensburg (3-7-2, 1-4-1 PSAC) got 10 saves from senior goalkeeper
Andrew Foran but was out-shot on the afternoon by a 20-12 margin.
Bloomsburg (7-6-1, 2-3-1 PSAC) held a two-goal lead 15 minutes in after Bryce Shaffer scored twice in a three-minute span of play. The Huskies got their decisive tally from Chris Pawlowski, who kicked a loose ball past Foran just 81 seconds after SU had tied the score.
Senior
Joe Nixon, who played his 48th collegiate match on Saturday, scored the first goal of his career in the 43rd minute of play to put the Raiders on the scoreboard.

Sam Talbot converted a penalty kick for his team-leading sixth goal of the season.
Bernie Roell was credited with seven saves for the Huskies.
SU will travel to face Mercyhurst at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Erie.
