SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The No. 1 Shippensburg University field hockey program will be hosting a "Play Pink" game on Saturday when it takes on PSAC Western Division opponent Mansfield at noon from Robb Sports Complex.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink clothing and donations will be collected and given to the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance.

The SU field hockey team is holding its event in conjunction with the Jeff Fisher Insurance Agency. The goal of Saturday's event is to raise awareness of breast cancer and to help collect donations to help in the fight against breast cancer.

The objective of the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance is "to make the community aware of what is available in the area of breast education, mammography accessibility and support groups" and also "to offer quality education, public awareness and support systems for patients and their loved ones."

Saturday's forecast is for sunny skies and a high temperature around 55 degrees.

GAME NOTES:

•  On Tuesday afternoon, the Raiders took down No. 3 IUP and avenged a road loss to the Crimson Hawks on Sept. 19 – SU's lone loss this season. The win snapped IUP's eight-game winning streak and dealt the Crimson Hawks their first PSAC West loss this season.

• Mansfield let a 3-0 lead against Houghton slip away on Thursday and eventually fell in penalty strokes, 4-3.

• Shippensburg defeated Mansfield, 6-3, at Mansfield on Sept. 22. Lauren Taylor notched a first-half hat trick in the win.

• If the Raiders defeat Mansfield, Mercyhurst and Seton Hill -- each in regulation -- to finish the regular season, they will be rewarded the No. 1 seed in the West for the PSAC playoffs.
