GAMEDAY: Basketball at Millersville Wednesday, Multiple Live Coverage Options Available

SU squads preparing for tough contests inside Pucillo Gymnasium

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. The Shippensburg University basketball teams will continue PSAC Eastern Division play on Wednesday night from Pucillo Gymnasium with matchups against the Marauders of Millersville University. The women's tip is scheduled for 6 p.m. while the men will start 20 minutes after the conclusion of the opener.

WOMEN: Shippensburg has alternated wins and losses in its last six games. Its three wins have come by an average margin of 15.3 points while the three losses sustained by the Raiders were by a combined total of 18 points. Of Shippensburg's eight losses this season, five of them have been by five points or less. The Raiders have lost six straight games to Millersville since its shift into the PSAC Eastern Division at the start of the 2008-09 season.

MEN: Shippensburg has lost five consecutive games, including its last four by a combined 14 points. Of its 12 losses this season, SU has lost seven by five points or less. The Raiders and Marauders split last season's series with SU winning the latter contest, 75-69, at Millersville. SU head men's basketball coach Dave Springer '91M, currently in his 11th season at the helm of the Raiders, returns once again to the school at which he made his head coaching debut. During the 1996-97 season, Springer guided the Marauders to an 11-15 record.
