SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The Shippensburg University athletics department and the Raider basketball teams will be conducting a Play4Kay event on Wednesday, February 15 from Heiges Field House in conjunction with the national initiative by the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

Shippensburg will host West Chester in a PSAC Eastern Division matchup at 6 p.m. with the men's game to follow. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink to the event. Both teams will be wearing "Pink Zone" shirts during warmups.

All fans wearing pink will not only receive free admission to the game, but also a free rally towel.

Tau Kappa, Shippensburg University's women's athletic fraternity, will be will be offering face painting at a table inside the gymnasium while soliciting donations for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. The student-athletes will also be handing out fast facts and offer giveaways.

Other organizations that will be present at the game include the Shippensburg University Women's Center and Colleges Against Cancer.

A silent auction will also be conducted with numerous items up for bids. Additional Pink Zone t-shirts will also be available for purchase.

Several promotions will also be held during halftime. All participants must be wearing pink to be eligible to compete in halftime festivities. T-shirt tosses will be conducted during select media timeouts.

The WBCA Pink Zone has been rebranded as Play 4Kay. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is the official charity of the initiative.
