SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The No. 3-ranked Shippensburg University field hockey team scored five unanswered goals – including two each from senior Kristina Taylor and sophomore Bre White – en route to a 5-1 victory at No. 8 Kutztown on Friday afternoon.

With the Raiders (9-2, 4-0 PSAC West) down 1-0 just over 15 minutes into the contest, junior Taylor Jones kicked off SU's scoring off an assist from White on a penalty corner. Jones continued her hot streak, as it was her fourth goal in the last four games. White's assist, meanwhile, was her 12th on the year, as she is now five short of the single-season record of 17.

White added her first goal on the day just four minutes later on a penalty stroke and added another four minutes into the second half off of a penalty corner. The goals were White's 11th and 12th on the season.

Taylor knocked in two goals herself in the second half to give her a team-leading 14 on the season, off of assists by sophomore Lauren Taylor and senior Katie Pufnock.

Junior Ciarra Delost earned the victory while making just one save in goal. SU outshot the Golden Bears (6-3, 2-1 PSAC East) 15-3 and finished with a 13-1 advantage in penalty corners. It was just the second time this season that the Raiders allowed the opponent to score the game's first goal.

SU plays its second consecutive PSAC East opponent tomorrow when it travels to No. 2 West Chester for a 1 p.m. game vs. the Golden Rams.
