Box Score
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Ashley Vellucci scored a game-tying goal in the 69th minute of play on a humid Saturday afternoon from David See Field as the Shippensburg University women's soccer team put forth a valiant defensive effort down the stretch to tie the Indiana (Pa.) Crimson Hawks, 1-1.

Shippensburg (2-0-1, 0-0-1 PSAC) exchanged chances with the Crimson Hawks for most of the game but did not even the score until sophomore Rachel Hess sent a wonderful through ball up the left wing to Vellucci, who snuck the ball past the drawn-out keeper and into the back of the net. It was Vellucci's first goal this season.

The Raiders tallied 10 shots in the contest, with eight of them coming in regulation. Shippensburg also had six corner kicks.

IUP (1-0-1, 0-0-1 PSAC), a squad ranked No. 9 in the NSCAA Atlantic Region rankings, opened the scoring in the 56th minute with a goal by Melissa Kornock. The Crimson Hawks totaled 16 shots in the match and also had six corner kicks.

Sophomore goalkeeper Shelbie Rackley had another impressive performance in goal for the Raiders by making seven saves. Rackley stopped a potential game-winner from IUP's Adriana Konstantinides three minutes into the first overtime. For the season, Rackley has 10 saves and a stout .909 save percentage.

Shippensburg returns to action at 4 p.m. Tuesday with a non-conference home match against Philadelphia from David See Field.
