SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg University field hockey team takes its turn as the host of this year's season-opening tournament featuring Mansfield, Southern Connecticut State and Saint Michael's. The teams will each play one game on Saturday and Sunday.

Shippensburg opens the season Saturday, September 3 against Saint Michael's before facing Southern Connecticut State the next day.

SU has won its last eight meetings over Saint Michael's by a 43-8 margin. The Raiders have faced Southern Connecticut State annually since 2002 and won every meeting, outscoring the Owls 54-8 in nine matches.
