SALEM, Va. - The Shippensburg University softball team finished its weekend in Salem on Sunday with a tough eight-inning loss to WVIAC opponent Charleston, 4-3. The Raiders finished their weekend with a 3-2 record. 

Box scores for each game will be posted by Monday evening. The games are held at a neutral site and no representative of the sports information office was able to make the trip.

Shippensburg opens conference play on Tuesday with a home doubleheader against West Chester. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. from Robb Field.
