SALEM, Va. – The Shippensburg University softball team split a pair of games Saturday at the West Virginia Wesleyan Invitational in Salem, dropping a 4-2 decision to Glenville State before rebounding at night with a 12-3 victory over West Liberty.

Shippensburg (14-7) got the bats working once again in the nightcap, with senior Courtney Steele delivering multiple hits and senior Hope Cornell smacking a home run. Junior Emily Parkins threw shutout innings in relief of senior starter Dana Ward.
