SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg University women's lacrosse team will once again be participating in the “Lax 4 Life” fund-raiser this season in an effort to raise funding for adolescent suicide prevention. The Lady Raiders will be collecting donations on Saturday, April 2 versus West Chester.
“Lax 4 Life” is a foundation that deals with adolescent and teen suicide prevention. Proceeds raised at the game will go to the Allyson Rose Green Memorial Foundation, named in the honor of Allyson Green - the younger sister of the West Chester University lacrosse goalkeeper and 2009 graduate Mary Beth Green.
Both schools will wear “Lax 4 Life” T-shirts in pregame warm-ups and have a collective photo taken to commemorate the occasion. Additionally, a collection will be taken up in the stands to help raise money for this worthy cause.
