MANSFIELD, Pa. – Junior forward
Will Royal led the Raiders with 13 points and nine rebounds on Saturday afternoon from Decker Gymnasium but the Shippensburg men's basketball team dropped a 96-68 decision to Mansfield, a regionally-ranked squad that leads the PSAC Eastern Division.
Shippensburg (8-16, 3-9 PSAC East) also got 12 points from junior
Craig Van Scyoc, who was 5-of-10 from the floor and hit a pair of three-pointers. Junior
Dane Lauber contributed 10 points and four rebounds off the bench.
Mansfield (17-7, 9-3 PSAC East) opened the game on a 10-0 and never relented its offensive attack. Derrison Anthony scored a game-high 32 points and also got 14 points from Yuseff Carr. Four Mountaineers finished in double figures.
Shippensburg concludes its three-game road trip Wednesday at Millersville. Tip-off from Pucillo Gymnasium is set for 8 p.m.
