CLARION, Pa. – Senior Kristen McCandless and sophomore Julie Brown continued their strong swims in freestyle events for the Shippensburg University women's swimming team on Friday night in a dual meet at Clarion that was won by the Golden Eagles.

McCandless posted another PSAC cut in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:53.46 while Brown satisfied the PSAC standard in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:00.07.

The 400-yard freestyle relay of Brown, freshman Jen Flinchbaugh, junior Julia Brownrigg and McCandless completed its swim in 3:41.97, a second off its pace from the dual meet at Bloomsburg on October 18.

Shippensburg will swim at 12 p.m. tomorrow in a dual meet from Edinboro.
