Box Score

ERIE, Pa. – After 75 minutes of scoreless play, the Shippensburg University men's soccer team scored twice in 65 seconds – courtesy of sophomore Derrick Roy and freshman Chrissy Black – to give the Raiders a 2-0 road win on Saturday afternoon over Gannon and snap a four-game winless streak.

Despite getting out-shot 18-11, Shippensburg (3-4-1, 2-3-1 PSAC) was able to find the back of the net late in the second half. Sophomore Oli Templeton assisted Roy at the 75:19 mark for the game-winning score. Roy now leads the Raiders with two goals while Templeton paces the team with two assists.

The Golden Knights (4-6-1, 0-3) then only briefly held control of the ball and attempted a corner kick before the Raiders made their way back up the field. Black attempted two shots in the span of four seconds; the goalkeeper saved the first but Black knocked in the second at 76:24 for the first goal of his SU career.

Junior Andrew Foran made his third consecutive start in goal and finished with five saves for his second career shutout.

Shippensburg next travels to Pittsburgh-Johnstown on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. clash with the Mountain Cats.
