Shippensburg will host Cheyney in a PSAC Eastern Division matchup at 1 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 3 p.m. All fans wearing pink will receive free admission to the game and all students attending the game are encouraged to dress in pink. Pink ribbons will be provided to all fans.
Tau Kappa, Shippensburg University's women's athletic fraternity, will be will be offering face painting at a table inside the gymnasium. Other organizations that will be present at the game include Colleges Against Cancer and the Shippensburg University Women's Center.
Several promotions will also be held during halftime, including half-court shots and a game of knockout. All participants must be wearing pink to be eligible to compete in halftime festivities. T-shirt tosses will be conducted during media timeouts.
The WBCA Pink Zone® initiative is a global, unified effort for the nation of women's basketball coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
Overall, the WBCA Pink Zone has raised nearly $3.3 million, reached almost 2.7 million fans and unified over 4,700 participants in only four years.
