PHILADELPHIA – The Shippensburg men's swim team split a tri-meet on Saturday afternoon from the Drexel Pool at the Daskalakis Athletic Center, defeating Bloomsburg 146-114 but losing to the hosts 159.5-95.5. SU posted nine times in the meet that satisfied the PSAC qualifying standards.
Four Raiders posted multiple PSAC cuts in the meet. Senior
Tim Smullen posted a time of 22.22 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and also went into the pool for the 1,000, posting a season-best time of 10:15.16. Sophomore
Eric Naylor posted a second-place time of 4:54.11 in the 500-yard freestyle and a time of 2:02.82 in the 200-yard butterfly.
Junior
Joe Keefe posted a time of 54.52 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke and a time of 2:00.67 in the 200-yard backstroke. Sophomore
Sean Minford finished second in both breaststroke events, posting a time of 1:02.21 in the 100 and 2:16.08 in the 200.
The 200-yard medley relay squad of

Tyler Prete, Naylor and Minford posted a third-place time of 1:40.15. The 400-yard freestyle relay squad of Smullen, senior
Jamie Kendall, junior
Shawn Robbins and Minford posted a time of 3:21.03.
Next weekend, SU will compete in a quad meet hosted by IUP.
