BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The Shippensburg University men's soccer team continued its road trip Saturday afternoon against the Bobcats of West Virginia Wesleyan and out-shot its opponents 19-17 but dropped a heartbreaking 1-0 decision in double overtime.
Shippensburg (2-2) played a man up for the most of the game after a dangerous cleat-first challenge by the Bobcats in the 28th minute. The Red Raiders finished the game with seven shots on goal but Bobcat goaltender Ryan McDougall put aside all of SU's chances. Sophomore
Andrew Foran made six saves in the loss.
Shippensburg continues its PSAC road swing at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday from Mercyhurst.
