SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Four Lady Raiders scored two goals on a sunny and pleasant Thursday afternoon from Robb Sports Complex and sophomore
Meghan Kearney made 11 saves as the Shippensburg women's lacrosse team earned a 9-4 divisional victory over Kutztown.
Shippensburg (8-5, 5-3 PSAC East) allowed just one goal in the first half and controlled the tempo for the majority of the contest. SU continued its dominance in the circle by recording a 13-2 advantage in draw controls and built a 4-0 lead with 13:46 remaining in the first half.

Lindsey Kennedy opened the scoring just 61 seconds into the game and added an assist with three groundballs. Sophomore
Jessica Schubach picked up both of her tallies in the first half while junior
Katie Brewer added a goal in each half.

The Lady Raiders will open hit the road this weekend with two games against nationally-ranked opponents. SU will face Mercyhurst at 11 a.m. Saturday and Gannon at noon Sunday.
