SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg University lacrosse team opened its 2010 season on a rain-soaked Satuday afternoon from the newly resurfaced artificial field turf at Robb Sports Complex with a 16-10 victory over PSAC Western Division opponent Indiana (Pa.).

Shippensburg (1-0) received strong offensive performances from senior Gayle Kuntzmann and freshman Lindsey Kennedy. Both players scored four goals in the game, while sophomore Jessica Schubach added a hat trick of her own while also dishing out two assists. Eight different players had at least one goal for the Lady Raiders.

Between the age, sophomore Meghan Kearney made seven saves to record the victory.
