SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – A slow start was too much to overcome for the Shippensburg University men's basketball team on Saturday night from Heiges Field House, as the Red Raiders dropped a 68-55 decision to Philadelphia in the eighth and final game of the 2010 Wolf's Bus Lines Classic.

Shippensburg (1-2) only mustered 21 points in the first half, shooting 1-of-8 from three-point range and being outrebounded by 11 boards. The Red Raiders shot 7-of-12 from beyond the arc in the second half but never got their deficit down to single digits.

Sophomore Lamar Jackson led Shippensburg with 17 points and four assists and was named to the all-tournament team. In two games this weekend, Jackson totaled 25 points and 13 assists.

Junior Craig Van Scyoc hit three trifectas; freshman Dylan Edgar totaled eight points and five rebounds, and sophomore John Corrigan contributed seven points off the bench.

Philadelphia (2-2) got a game-high 20 points from Corey Francisco along with 16 points from Jimmy Connolly. Temi Adebayo added five points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots. Francisco and Adebayo were named to the all-tournament team.

The Red Raiders will host Wilmington (Del.) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. from Heiges Field House. Men's basketball is collecting canned goods and non-perishable items prior to the game and all fans that bring a food item to donate will receive free admission. The donations will be given to the local food pantry.
