Box Score

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - A nationally-ranked opponent proved to be too much for the Shippensburg men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon from Koehler Fieldhouse, as No. 24 East Stroudsburg started the second half on a 20-3 run as the Warriors defeated the Red Raiders, 74-47.

Shippensburg (7-8, 0-2 PSAC East) played strong through the majority of the first half against the high-octane attack of the Warriors, remaining within three points after the second media timeout as a jumper from redshirt senior Daziah Miller brought the score to 21-18. The Warrior offense, however, began to click at the end of the half and eventually built a 10-point lead, 35-25, at the intermission.

East Stroudsburg (14-1, 1-1 PSAC East), in response to a jumper by sophomore Dane Lauber, broke the game open with a 20-1 run over the first six-plus minutes of the second half that gave the Warriors a 27-point lead, 55-28. Mike Tobin led ESU and was one of four players in double figures, totaling 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Red Raiders committed just 13 turnovers in the contest but struggled mightily from the field, shooting just 25 percent (16-of-63) in the game and just 22 percent (7-of-31) in the second half. SU also shot just 2-of-16 from three-point range. Miller had 15 points and nine rebounds, while sophomore Craig Van Scyoc delivered seven points off the bench.

The Red Raiders return home for a 6 p.m. contest on Wednesday against the Marauders of Millersville, who are 1-1 in the PSAC East after falling on Saturday to No. 3 Kutztown, 83-63.

Notes:
Redshirt sophomore guard Jordan Stasyszyn appeared in 10 minutes off the bench and scored his points as a Red Raider, finishing with five points, three rebounds and one steal...nine different Red Raiders finished with points.
