SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -
The Shippensburg University men's soccer team dominated the territorial battle in its PSAC Eastern Division clash with Bloomsburg on Saturday night from David See Field but it was not until a goal in the 81st minute from redshirt sophomore Dee Barlee that Shippensburg was able to draw even in an eventual 1-1 tie with the Huskies.

Shippensburg (0-2-2, 0-0-2 PSAC East) put forth a frenzied offensive effort in the second half, outshooting the Huskies 11-4 and recording six corner kicks. Barlee's strike off an assist from freshman Logan Henke was the culmination of a flurry of opportunities that included several blocked shots and point-blank saves by BU goaltender David Leiendecker.

The Red Raiders tallied five more shots and two additional corner kicks in the overtime periods but could not connect for a golden goal.

Defensively, freshman Clay Sale started and made two saves, while freshman Andrew Foran made three saves over the course of the second period and the overtime sessions.

Shippensburg will return to action on Wednesday with another PSAC Eastern Division clash with East Stroudsburg that is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. from David See Field.
