WEST CHESTER, Pa. - The Shippensburg University team competed against the home-standing Golden Ram tennis squad of West Chester on a cloudy and windy Tuesday afternoon and nearly came away with victories at No. 1 singles and No. 3 doubles but fell short in its last match of the season, falling 9-0.
Junior
Jackie Kramer took the first set at No. 1 singles 6-2 against West Chester's Maria Kostaris but dropped the second set 6-3 and fell short in the first-to-10 tiebreaker. Kramer teamed with senior
Robin Light and went to a tiebreaker in No. 3 doubles, but the duo came up just short. Freshman
Hannah Lolley picked up five points in the first set of her singles match against Bridget Dougherty.
Shippensburg has concluded the regular season and the match was the final collegiate season competition for Light, an outstanding leader and competitive spirit with the team. She finished her second full season with the Lady Raiders this season.
