EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg University basketball teams will be hitting the road on Saturday afternoon for a doubleheader from Koehler Fieldhouse against the Warriors of East Stroudsburg, with games beginning at 1 and 3 p.m. Live statistics of both games can be accessed from the ESU Athletics Web site.
WOMEN:
Shippensburg (11-11, 5-4 PSAC East) fell to Millersville on Wednesday evening from Heiges Field House, 69-44. The loss knocked Shippensburg one game out of the final position in the Eastern Division. East Stroudsburg (10-12, 3-6 PSAC East) is coming off a 70-58 road victory over Bloomsburg.
MEN:
Shippensburg (11-11, 3-6 PSAC East) snapped a three-game losing streak with its best offensive output since 1996 by easily defeating Millersville 74-45 on Wednesday evening from Heiges Field House. The Red Raiders shot 62 percent from the field and dominated the rebounding battle by 18 boards as they routed the Marauders.
East Stroudsburg (13-9, 4-5 PSAC East) is in fifth place in the division, just one game out of a playoff spot but also just one game ahead of the Raiders.
