EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg junior forward
Kasey Gardner had already compiled a double-double just two minutes into the second half on Friday night from Koehler Fieldhouse while the Lady Raider basketball team had three players post double figures in an easy 71-34 victory over Salem International.
Shippensburg (5-2) cruised to the victory in the team's second game at the ESU Pocono Classic while Gardner had a stellar effort with 15 points, 14 rebounds, three steals. Senior forward
Lauren Beckley totaled 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists, including 3-of-9 from three-point range, and moved over 1,900 career points.

Caitlin Bamberger set career highs with seven points and seven rebounds in 21 minutes. Senior
Phylicia Bessick added six points while sophomore forward
Kaitlin Capriccio had five points and rebounds.
Friday's victory for Shippensburg is its most lopsided win since Nov. 19, 2005 - a span of 115 games, when the Lady Raiders earned a 99-58 victory over Mercy (NY) to wrap up the 2005 Wolf's Bus Lines Classic.
At halftime, Shippensburg held a 27-13 lead, marking the viewest combined points in a half since the Lady Raiders and Slippery Rock played a 22-15 first half on Jan. 29, 2005 - a span of 125 games. SU led by as many as 37 points in the game over the winless Tigers.
Furthering the irony, nearly one year ago to the day on Dec. 3, 2008, Shippensburg held a 27-14 halftime lead over West Virginia Wesleyan that marked the fewest combined points in a half since the Lady Raiders and California (Pa.) combined for 41 points on Feb. 23, 2005.
Shippensburg will return to action at 7 p.m. next Friday with a road contest against PSAC Western Division opponent California (Pa.), a squad currently ranked No. 10 in Division II.
