SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg University women's swimming team opened its 2009-10 season on Saturday afternoon with a tri-meet from Donald N. Miller Pool but dropped decisions to West Chester and Kutztown. The Golden Rams also defeated Kutztown in the pool.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of junior Amy Fisher, junior Sarah Bratman, senior Anna Kinard and sophomore Nicole Capozzi were credited with the first-place finish in the event after a solid performance in 1:44.45.

The Lady Raider swimmers will return to action at noon on Sunday, October 18 with a home meet against Drexel.
