MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Senior forward Laura Wylde recorded the fourth two-goal game of her career on Tuesday afternoon from Chryst Field as the No. 2 Shippensburg field hockey team needed 11 minutes of extra time to record a 3-2 victory over No. 8 Millersville.

Shippensburg (16-1) and Millersville (7-8) were tied following regulation and exchanged scoring chances during the overtime period. At the 81:03 mark, Wylde finished off a chance sent to her by senior Kim Tully for her 13th goal of the season that marked the third time this season that SU has won in overtime, all on goals by Wylde.

The Lady Raiders trailed early in the first half following a goal at the 8:20 mark by Kristie Testa. Wylde opened the scoring in the first half 16:12 mark and Tully scored less than four minutes later off an assist from freshman Ashley Taylor to give Shippensburg a 2-1 halftime lead.

The Marauders tied the score at 41:09 in the second half when Krista Bupp converted a penalty stroke opportunity following a foul in the box.

Senior goaltender Amanda Houser had to come up with several crucial saves in the contest, including a stop on Bupp off a Marauder penalty corner at the end of regulation. She finished the contest with eight saves.

Shippensburg will return to action on Saturday at 1 p.m. with a road contest at PSAC Western Division opponent Indiana (Pa.). A victory over the Crimson Hawks would clinch the No. 1 seed in the division for the Lady Raiders and guarantee the team the right to host the PSAC Championships that will be held on October 30-31.
