SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg University women's tennis team fought hard on a blustery October afternoon from Robb Sports Complex Tennis courts but fell short of a victory, dropping a 9-0 decision to the Red Devils of Dickinson College.
Shippensburg (1-5) played well despite the score. The two longest matches of the singles play were put forth by sophomore
Hannah Lolley at No. 4 and junior
Monica Berardi. Lolley played extremely well and put forth several strong groundstrokes and backhands during the second set. Berardi nearly won her first set and totaled seven points on the afternoon.
The Lady Raiders will host West Chester at 1 p.m. on Saturday before hosting Shepherd on Sunday at 2 p.m.
