CHEYNEY, Pa. -
The Shippensburg University basketball teams will be on the road Saturday afternoon in PSAC Eastern Division play from Cope Hall when the Raiders take on Cheyney. The women's game will start at 1 p.m. while the men's game will begin at 3 p.m., or 20 minutes following the conclusion of the women's game.

Both basketball games will be broadcast on the radio through WSYC-FM (88.7) while being available for audio web-stream here.

Coaches of Shippensburg and Cheyney will be donning sneakers on the sidelines tomorrow as a part of the 2009 Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers awareness weekend. The gesture is designed to raise awareness about the fight against cancer and the American Cancer Society. By wearing sneakers, participating coaches help raise awareness about cancer and the importance that nutrition and physical activity play in reducing one's risk of the disease.

WOMEN: Shippensburg (10-8, 4-1 PSAC East) is currently in a three-way tie at the top of the Eastern Division standings after its win over Bloomsburg on Thursday. Cheyney (8-6, 3-2 PSAC East) will be seeking to maintain a playoff spot as the Wolves are currently one game behind the Lady Raiders, Kutztown and West Chester.

MEN: Shippensburg (10-8, 2-3 PSAC East) battled Bloomsburg on Wednesday afternoon and scratched out a 60-58 victory over the Huskies that marked the ninth game for the Raiders this season decided by six points or less. Cheyney (11-5, 4-1 PSAC East) throttled Millersville by 17 points with a wire-to-wire victory and remains atop the division.
